(MANCHESTER): On the 14th December, INTO and The University of Manchester celebrated 15 years of collaboration since the partnership formed in 2008.

The celebratory event, which took place at the INTO Manchester Centre, was attended by INTO’s CEO, John Sykes, and various INTO and The University of Manchester colleagues who have worked together closely over the years to deliver a unique partnership pathway programme, supporting diverse and talented international students into one of the world’s most prestigious institutions.

Over the last 15 years, INTO Manchester has welcomed over 13,000 international students from more than 100 countries, and whose students have progressed into every faculty of the University, across more than 120 different degree areas.

Five former students from the class of 2023 also joined the celebrations alongside recipients of last year’s Inaugural Future Leaders Scholarship, sharing some insights from their journeys at INTO Manchester.

Layan Daou, a current Computer Science student at The University of Manchester, said: “Studying Computer Science abroad was a dream of mine ever since I was in high school. It is more than a career choice for me; it’s a pathway to becoming a catalyst for innovation, problem-solving, and shaping the future in a digital landscape. INTO played a pivotal role in turning this vision into reality.”

“We are very proud to mark our 15 years of partnership with The University of Manchester with a celebration of its success but most importantly, the success of our students and it was wonderful to hear how we are helping so many of them realise their ambitions,” said Dawn Abbott, Centre Director at INTO Manchester.

INTO and The University of Manchester – ranked 32nd worldwide by QS World University Rankings 2024 - look forward to their continued collaboration in expanding opportunities for international students to study at a globally recognized institution. In celebration of the 15 years of continued partnership, the two institutions are also set to launch a new exclusive scholarship in 2024 that will reduce annual tuition fees by £5000 for students who successfully progress to their chosen course – stay tuned for more details on this exciting opportunity.
